Industrial Elegance

This project was designed in partnership with Isabela Morais. We opted for a mixture of rustic and elegant components. Having a lot of contrast inspired us to incorporate different opposing elements like dynamic lines and soft curves which creates visual interest and connects with this idea of emphasizing contrast.

Industrial pendant light with exposed bricks, metals and a concrete beam bring that rustic style that the family enjoys. However, those were paired with sophisticated furniture pieces with gold finishes and opulent artworks to elevate the space.

 

Custom cabinetry, wood flooring, rough finishes as well as black and gold metal accents were a result of this combination of rustic and refined that led to the creation of "Industrial Elegance", a 2021 Bronze winner project for DDA, Decorating & Design Competition.
